About RoundCut

RoundCut is a free online suite of privacy-first image tools designed to make common image editing tasks fast, simple, and safe. We believe that simple image utilities should not require uploading your photos to a server, paying a subscription, or installing heavy software.

Our Mission

Our mission is straightforward: give creators, students, marketers, and everyday users access to professional-grade image tools that respect their privacy and their time. Every tool on RoundCut runs 100% in your browser using modern web technologies (Canvas API, WebAssembly, and on-device AI). Your images never leave your device.

What We Build

RoundCut currently offers three flagship tools, each carefully designed for a specific use case:

Beyond these flagship tools we also publish original, expert-written content on our Blog covering image optimization, e-commerce photography, and design best practices.

Why Privacy Matters to Us

Most online image tools upload your files to remote servers for processing. That model is fast for the operator but exposes you to real risks: data breaches, model training on your images, indefinite retention, or unclear ownership clauses buried in terms of service.

RoundCut takes the opposite approach. We process every image directly in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, nothing is logged. When you close the tab, every byte related to your images is gone. This isn’t a marketing tagline — it is a technical guarantee enforced by the way our tools are built.

Who We Are

RoundCut is operated by an independent team of web engineers and content creators based in Brazil, working remotely. We are funded by ads (served carefully and only when the user experience allows) and by future optional premium features. We are not backed by venture capital, we do not sell user data, and we have no incentive to compromise on privacy.

Our blog content is written and edited by Lucas Mendes, a content strategist focused on visual content optimization.
